Dahua IPC-HDBW3541F-AS-S2 Missing SMD option when adding rules
CompletedHi,
I've got a IPC-HDBW3541F-AS-S2 that I'm testing:
The camera is running the latest Dahua branded firmware, and it detects with the Analytics plugin in NX:
I've enabled SMD on the camera like I've done with many Dahua's but it doesn't appear when I try and add an analytics rule for it nothing is populated in Event Type:
I noticed there were some Dahua SMD fixes in v5.1.1 however upgrading to that doesn't seem to have fixed the issue.
Thanks

Yep still have the issue, I suspect maybe it's related to a newer Dahua and SMD 4.0? But I'd appreciate if it could be investigated and confirm if that's the case and if it will likely be resolved in newer NX versions.
Thanks

Hi Campbell Steven,
In your case, it is important to verify that the camera is recognized as a Dahua device.
You can verify this in the Camera Settings menu, tab General, where the Vendor name should be Dahua. If that isn't the case, please let us know the names that are displayed for Vendor and Model, and we might be able to create a workaround, or we might direct you to Dahua.
If the Vendor is Dahua, I would do the following:
- Remove the device from the system
- Start Wireshark with the IP address of the device as the host filter
- Add the device back to the system
- Wait till the initialization is finished (camera is showing the video stream)
- Stop Wireshark and share the pcapng file (for example through WeTransfer link, uDrop, Google Drive, etc.)
We'll check the Wireshark file to understand what goes wrong.

This is what the camera shows as under NX for vendor and model:
I'll create a pcap and send. Do you have a way for me to send directly to you, rather than via this forum. The camera is running the latest firmware from Dahua.
Thanks
