    Hi Duc Dinh,

    Regarding:

About alarm: I could add an alarm for camera when its detect a movement but on the timeline only show a green for it. Could I change it to another color. For example when normal the timeline is green but when movement detection it changes to red then when normal the timeline change back to green.

You cannot change this colors, but when you search for motion (click on the running man icon in the notification panel on the left or in the top of the relevant camera image, the green timeline wil show red sections. Each section represents a motion event.

    Regarding:

    - About analysis event( line crossing, counting, missing objects...): could I use this feature in demo version? I try but when I choose camera it show analysis is not available for camera so I don't know because of my camera or because this is demo version. Thank you.

The demo version is a full featured version, the only difference is the licenses. In a demo version you have 4 channels availble for recording for a maximum period of time of 30 days. If you need a longer period of time to trial our VMS, reach out to you local Nx Witness reseller and they can provide you a new license key for more cameras and/or a longer period of time.

That being said, we support in-camera analytics for the most common brands as listed HERE.

If your camera brand isn't listed, often you can send HTTP events through the camera as shown in THIS support article.

Also, there is an option to use 3rd party applications to add analytics and/or AI to your system. Please check our integration store in the Nx Cloud for the various offers. One to mention is the OpenVINO application which is a basic analytics application, free to use.

    Good morning

    Sorry for my late reply.

I tried to download the OpenVINO, but I don't know how to install it, I extracted the file into the Nx Witness plugins folder but there are two plugin folders, I tried both and none of them work.

Please take a look and give me your feedback.

    Thank you.

    Hi Duc Dinh,

I noticed a small, but significant mistake in the  instructions:

The file should be installed at the following location:

    /opt/networkoptix/mediaserver/bin/plugins

I requested our team to resolve this mistake asap.

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. About add a new plugin: I could not find a "opt/networkoptix/mediaserver/bin/plugins" on my computer. Are you sure the link is correct.
    2. About .avi file: I set my camera in H265 then I export video in .avi. But I can not open it with Windows Media Player. Where are the problems? The Windows media player or The Nx witness

Please take a look and give me your feedback.

    Hi Duc Dinh,

I'm sure the link is correct. See:

Regarding *.avi in Windows Media Player.

By default, Windows Media Player is limited in the number of supported codecs, therefore the file won't be played.

The following options would solve the issue:

    1. Use a different file format. *.avi is an old format and deprecated by some media players. *.mp4 is the current most used video format.
    2. Use another video player. VLC player is known to be able to play most video files.
    3. Install a Windows Media Player codec pack. This will add more codecs to Windows Media Player and often this resolves the issue. Please assure yourself to use a codec pack from a reputable source.

    Hi Duc Dinh,

You are using Linux, right? The patch I shared was for Linux.

If you're using Windows, the path should be:

     C:\Program Files\Network Optix\Nx Witness\MediaServer\plugins\
