    Hello Tore Myhren,

Excuse me, but it is not completely clear what exactly is happening, could you send us a screen recording showing the issue.

I am experiencing the same issue with NX Witness version 4.2.0.32658. It is with fisheye cameras when using the dewarping. We have 3 different models of fisheye camera, and we are experiencing the problem on all of them.

    Fault description:

When loading a saved layout, or switching to an already loaded layout, the view defaults to one particular angle and at maximum zoom.

Below is a link to a video showing the problem:

    https://1drv.ms/v/s!ApBmD4ocIfi4g5FBWsK4CqsKh1DylQ?e=F7iPsP

We have 16 fisheye cameras, and this is making it extremely difficult to use them.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Thanks Wendy Chuang,

Are you able to advise when this patch will be releases and what the build number is?

Also; will this be a client-only patch, or will the server also have to be patched?

    Thanks again

    Paul

    Hi Paul Gear,

The server patch is also required. I couldn't provide the exact build number at the moment since it's not confirmed yet. Please wait for the next monthly patch of 4.2 (My Nx > Download > Patch) and refer to our release note.

    Thank you.

    Hi Wendy Chuang

Do you know when the next monthly patch will be released, and will this fix definitely be in it?

If not, could you provide us with a pre-release patch since the issue has already been fixed on your end?

I have a lot of grumpy users asking daily when this will be resolved. Nearly all of our cameras are fisheye, and at the moment they are almost unusable for our purposes.

    Thanks

    Paul

I agree to what Paul Gear says in the above message. With the problem three of my cameras is close to useless and the people looking can not understand what they shows..
I hope for a solution to this as soon as possible!
    Thanks

    Hi Paul Gear

    We don't have a pre-release patch available.

    Hi Norman Graafsma

OK, but what about an ETA on when the monthly patch will be released? And whether or not this fix will definitely be included in the next patch?

Our cameras (16 of them) are all but unusable at the moment, and it's frustrating to not even have an ETA.

Wendy Chuang has acknowledged that the problem has been fixed, but this is now the 3rd time I've asked when the patch will be released and I still don't have an answer?

    Hi Paul Gear,

We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please understand that we are unable to provide any ETA date because it is not confirmed yet. However, our team has considered this problem seriously, and possibly the incoming 4.2 hotfix will include the fix. We might have more information this week and I'll update you soon.

    Thank you.

    @ Wendy Chuang
Thank you for quick and good service!
I have asked about this before, but; will it be possible to do a smart search on those cameras (360) in dewarped mode? And why does the dewarping turn off when I do a smartsearch on another camera?
    Thanks!

Hi Tore Myhren and Paul Gear,

The hotfix(4.2.0.32840) is released today. Kindly upgrade your Nx software and the layout problem issue is solved in this version:
    - Build Number: 32840
    - Password: ld5xsd

You could go to myNx webpage to review the release note for detailed information.
    Thank you.

    Hi Tore Myhren,
From my point of view, it's the expected behavior. The motion detection uses the original stream source instead of the dewarping image. Thus, the dewarping mode will be turned off while you switching to the smart motion function.

    Thank you.

    Thanks Wendy Chuang,

I haven't had a chance to update the servers yet, but simply updating the clients fixes the issue.
