    Dear chris chen,

Thank you for bringing up this issue. In order to help you troubleshoot the problem, I would suggest trying to control the PTZ cameras with Onvif Device manager first. If the cameras can be controlled successfully with Onvif, then they should also be controllable in Nx Witness VMS. However, if you are unable to control the cameras with Onvif, it's likely that there are issues with the RS485 PTZ controls, either they aren't fully supported or other settings should be made in the device, more specific, the protocol and/or baud rates.

To have better understanding of the issue, it would be beneficial to investigate the communication between Nx Witness and the PTZ device. I recommend capturing this communication and examining the replies to the PTZ commands that are being sent from Nx Witness to the PTZ device.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. I'm here to help.
