Pre-recording & Post-recording? Does it do anything when using "record always"?
AnsweredI have my camera's setup to record everything to the main disks by setting them to "record always". I also have Pre-recording and Post-recording set at 10 seconds.
Now when I click on any motion event I can see motion happening the video it's showing is always short. It's not showing 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after motion when I click the motion event.
Can I make it show more seconds before and after when I click on a motion event?
This also makes me wonder: If I setup backup storage, will it still be storing 10 seconds before + 10 seconds after to the backup storage? Or only the motion like I can see when I click on the motion event?

Hi Andy Knuts,
If the backup storage volume is equal or larger than the storage volume of the main storage, the data will be stored identical to the data on the main storage, including pre- and post-recording.
In the Camera Setting menu, tab Recording, you can change the value for the pre-and post-recording.
For Pre-Recording you can change this up to 90 seconds and for Post-Recording you can change this up to 300 seconds. That being said, increasing these values do use more RAM resources, so especially for larger systems it might require adding additional RAM capacity.
