Show bookmarks in mobile app

As more users are preferring the mobile app i think it would be great addon to have a list of bookmarks in the mobile app.

Hi, all! This is smth that we definitely plan to add to our mobile client. We are currently planning some changes in our app, so all event lists (like event log, bookmarks log, analytics) will work like a charm.
UX, usability, and simplicity are key priorities for us, so we invest a lot in it. Investigating and prototyping take some time. Especially it's important at the early stages of the product (as we are now with our mobile client)
I can't give you any estimates. I can only say that I won't expect that coming for a few releases from now. Hope this is not a deal-breaker for your projects. -

Many thanks for the update, but this does start to have an impact on our projects. With the higher native integration of camera intelligence trhough Nx, as well as through 3rd party plugins, our customers are more and more demanding to take that intelligence also to their tablets and smartphones.
We now have a project that we will not be able to deliver because the end-user is only using their smartphone to review and search video. Igal confirmed that it was already on the roadmap 3 years ago. What is needed to push this forward?

I understand your eagerness to have this request implemented and I agree, that this is an important feature to have.
I'll try to give this an impulse inside our product team.
Unfortunately, we always have hundreds of features to choose and clearly, we can't implement them all at once. But we are working on this one and having events and bookmarks in the mobile app is one of the important features in mobile client backlog. -

I encourage you to vote for this request (if you haven't voted yet). We consider the number of votes when prioritizing features.
But it doesn't necessarily mean that high vote numbers will be included asap (or will be included at all) -- this is just one of the parameters that we take into account. -
Maybe not only view but also creating a quick bookmark for later in the app would be so helpful!
Not only for professional companies but also for the home/end user. Who has time to remember the time of day and run to the computer later to add a bookmark searching the whole day of footage ...Just tap create bookmark for later would be soo good feature.

The roadmap is a never-ending road that grows daily and is full of detours that might or might not affect if and when a feature ends up in the releases.

1. hi i am in mt demo nx wintess stage . got my dahua camera to show faces objects detection . i tried to search the mobile app but seems that i cant access to the bookmark or objects detection on search or what ever in the MOBILE APP . this is big deal breaker since i want to see who comes to the store .
2. is there an option for build in analytics for face recognition without have to pay extra intregation plugin ?thinking of purchasing one of the dahua that able to face recognition cams . would nx wintes be able to recognized/ name title / and store pictuere / event by face recognition with build in dahua plugin analytics ?

Hello, any progress on this topic? it's indeed a future requested by many people for 5 years now...
we had already 2 major releases of software since this request but still no intention to add this future to the app? 5 years ago, the app was very impressive (cloud connection, fast, smart motion and dewarping). unfortunally the app is been degrading, i think... takes a lot longer to connect to the cloud with all the new security settings & password verifications and still no additional options, like quad view, bookmarks or metadata search,...

I think clearly their market is commercial use. In that case, their clients have their employees sitting at desks with screens on PC's. That's the use case.
Forget book marks. How about the fact that you can't even share/download the video from your phone....... Gotta drag my butt over to the old computer to do that -
I’ve sold probably well over 60,000 dollars worth of licenses this year.
Trust me, most of our customers use the mobile app religiously, nearly exclusively. Bookmarks and mobile download are extremely common requests, and sales are tied to the speed of the mobile app most definitely.

With that many sales, maybe you could have some pull on their product map?
I agree with you though. I had a commercial installation done at a child care. First thing I asked was for the guy to show me the app. It was hikvision. Moved from that to dahua. Then finally to nx witness. The app load is slow, ptz control very difficult, but at least it's stable..... There no other app on the market that I know that is as stable
