    Frederik,

While it's more challenging to do multiple actions...

We effeminately plan 1 and 2 for next release.

    1) Filter seach on top should also be able to search in the names given to each rule of cause.

    2) Copy/duplicate should be an option when you right click an existing rule :)

I dont know if this is what you need but i use it and its very handy.

You can send a generic event on an event and let make those generic events do different actions on the server.
This way you, when you want to change the event for all those actions you will only have to change the event sending this generic event.

That is a nice trick. But my challenge now is that I get so many event rules set up that it almost impossible to navigate.
So If I was able to have one rule to triggermultiple events I would be able to drastically reduce the number of rules and have better control.

Guys, we know many things are possible to make it via generic events and HTTP requests, but it's painful to configure when there are hundreds of events and rules on the list..... Especially when the list management is still not optimized which is described here: https://support.networkoptix.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360036084374-Add-rule-names-numbers-and-filter-them-by-name-number

So for large systems I'd rather use genuine solution from Nx.

So once again, please allow us assign many actions to one event.

Currently we need to create so many almost identical rules! When we have 100 cameras and 4 actions to the same event, we need to setup 400 rules! Its easy to see what will happen when the system is larger like 500 cameras.

I don't see it in 4.0 release. Is it possible to get it in 4.1 release ?

    Hello, everyone!

We are working on this feature. The main reason it gets postponed is that it requires the whole engine to be re-written.
Unfortunately, we are not including it in 4.1.

For 4.2 we are preparing those internal engine changes. In the first step, we need to be sure that the new engine will work in
all scenarios the same way as the old one (so we're performing lots of testing). Cause all existing systems have some set of rules, we need to migrate those existing rules in a new engine.

After those steps are done we will start to implement UI parts, meaning that users will be able to create multiple-actions and
    multiple-events rules.

We don't have any solid ETA, but I feel like in 4.2 we will roll out our new engine (so only a small amount of visible changes,
but a lot of internal ones) and somewhere around 4.3 we will release new UI (see the mockups below).

Probably we will add some flexibility in terms of using different even parameters in the actions in 4.2 (e.g. it will be possible to
customize notifications using {resource.name} and so on). We believe that adding parameters will provide significant value to our users and it is asked a lot

With regard to multiple-actions rules feature, I only have some early mockups that I can share. I'd appreciate it if you'd leave
    your feedback on it

    This is good news :)

The mockups looks nice. Just remember to make it possible to add a custom name to each rule.
To make it easier to navigate, search and filter the event list.
I see you got "Add comment", but I like to see a field for "Rule name" that will show up in a column in the event list.

It also looks like you got rid of the horizontal split for the event list / edit event rule, witch is good.
Way better that you navigate in to the edit mode and then have to go back to the list.

I agree with Fredrik, giving an an Event Rule an name or tag would be helpful to look it up if you have many rules.

Mockups look pretty good to me also. I see the disabled label on the bottom, maybe it's worth adding a button to switch the rule on and off on the Rules View and not only inside the Rule Editor.

This feature is something we are really waiting for, it has so much added value.

    Hi Tagir

It's been a year and we are now testing 5.0 beta and we don't see any improvement in this case. Please let us know, what is the current roadmap to improve rules engine to get multiple actions for 1 event?

Tagir Gadelshin I agree, would be good to get a multiple action like your screenshot (Meta 5.0 do not show it...)

Also would be good to get multiple event the same way using AND (multiple conditions)

Giving this one a bump... this would be a valuable feature.

    Any word on this one?
it looks to be a significant UX improvement.

Additionally, toggling rules on/off via a soft trigger would be great.
for example, allowing a client to arm/disarm the site.
