How to keep bookmarked video footage

Hi

Nx automatically deletes (recycles) all video footage, no matter if it is marked as important (bookmarked) or not. We need to keep bookmarked video footage. In other words, we need to protect important video footage from auto-deleting.

In my opinion this is one of the "must-have" options for a VMS, but for some reason, for all those years, you did not decide to implement it. Is there any chance ? If yes, when we can expect to get it ?

  The ability to back up the bookmarks is great. However, I would suggest a better way would be to have the option to tag a bookmark to "NOT DELETE" and it would stay stored on the same drive and not delete until manually deleted or by setting a "PURGE" date.

  In 5.0 we introduced a new option for Backup -- now you can backup bookmarks only. If you attach a second drive as a backup drive you'll be able to keep bookmarks as long as you want (or as long as you have storage). 

   

  Have you tried such a setup?

  I do like the option to be able to backup motion+bookmarks. I'm not a fan of it being set on a per-camera basis. I really would rather it be set on a per-drive basis. Then I could have a backup drive full of bookmark events, so that it could be preserved for the two years that I'm required to keep it at our detention center.

  It'd also be great if the bookmark could be applied to all open cameras, instead of just one. Maybe allow me to highlight several, and it it bookmark all the highlighted ones.

  Last week we finally tested new option for Backup bookmarks and we are satisfied with this solution. Thank you for hint, Tagir :-)
