Is it normal to show main stream feeds in the grid?
In ProgressI have a system with 15x 4K cameras running 30 fps and using DWS 4.2. The following seems like a potential bug, which may also be in 5.0, but I had to roll back to 4.2 because of a camera compatibility issue.
Regardless of the roll back, if the client is running full screen on the DVR, and if I open a saved layout showing all 15 cameras, they all open showing the mainstream feed and it maxes out the CPU and RAM which then causes cameras to start dropping out.
If I restore down to window mode the cameras all immediately switch to the sub stream and CPU and RAM returns to a reasonable level. If I maximize the window they stay on the sub stream and continue using a reasonable amount of RAM.
Is pulling the main stream when the layout first opens normal behavior?

Hi Jeff Jones,
It sounds like normal behavior that high-res images are displayed in the layout. A maxed out CPU/RAM isn't though.
The switch mechanism uses a number of variables to decide to switch from primary stream to secondary stream. This concerns CPU load, RAM load, but also the relative number of pixels of the stream vs the monitor resolution.
If you like, we can move this topic, into a support ticket for further investigations. In such case, we need TeamViewer access to the applicable client.
