Nx Witness users often leave Nx Witness Desktop application untouched for long periods of time and only view feeds on the monitor passively, such activity may eventually trigger a power save mode or sleep mode on the computer.
These modes would normally interrupt applications like the Nx Witness Desktop application and potentially interrupt important tasks. To avoid this, we built the Nx Witness Desktop application in a way that allows it to remain open during power save and sleep modes.
We understand that some users may not want this functionality, if that is the case, the instructions below will guide you in disabling it.
How to re-enable the power-save mode in Windows
- Right-click the Nx Desktop application or shortcut and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibilities tab and enable the checkbox for Disable fullscreen optimizations.
- If you want to apply this setting for all users, click on Change settings for all users, and repeat the steps above.
Now, the computer will override the full-screen mode of the Nx Witness Desktop client when power save mode or sleep mode is active.
