Effective Dec 1st 2019, Nx Mobile connectivity with Nx Server versions prior to 4.0 can no longer be guaranteed.
This may result in support questions from customers using the latest Nx Mobile client that are connecting to Systems running older versions of Nx Server.
While Network Optix will try to maintain compatibility, the ability of the Nx Support Team to resolve such cases will not be guaranteed.
If experiencing issues connecting with the later versions (e.g. Nx Mobile 19.5 or later) to an Nx System running a prior version, please try the following:
- Upgrade your System to a 4.x version or higher (though we always recommend upgrading to the latest version since it’s officially supported).
- Use a previous version of the Nx Mobile client. If it works, you will have to stick to this version and disable automatic updates in your phone’s settings.
Push notifications were introduced in Nx Witness v4.1. To be able to use this feature, all users must update to Nx Mobile v20.1 or newer in order to connect to a v4.1 System via Nx Mobile.
Nx Mobile v19.6 or earlier will not be able to access Systems running v4.1 or later.
