What are the Exit Fullscreen / Set to Fullscreen Actions?
Nx Witness has the ability to allow operators to automate entering and exiting fullscreen mode for a camera on a Layout.
- Set to Fullscreen - an action that will cause the Nx Desktop client to display one camera /stream in full screen mode.
- Exit Fullscreen - an action that will cause the Nx Desktop client to return to the full Layout.
It's a great way to remotely control clients in Video Wall mode, to alert groups of operators to an video they should be paying attention to, or to set up alarm pop-up functionality on a Layout or Layouts with multiple cameras, each going full screen based on programmed Events.
How to create a rule using Set to Fullscreen Action:
- Right click on the camera (in the Resource Panel or Viewing Grid) and select Camera Rules to open the Event Rules Dialog.
- Under the Event section (on the left side of the rule dialog) choose your target System Event (e.g. Motion, Soft Trigger, etc) .
- In the Action section of the rule (on the right side of the rule dialog) in the Do field select Set to Fullscreen
- In the Camera field select the target camera / stream (only 1 device!)
- In the Layout field select the Layouts to which this Rule should be applied. (the camera must be on the Layout(s) in order for the Rule to work properly).
- Press Apply and Ok to save the rule.
