The Nx Witness VMS allows users to monitor the condition of the mediaservers in real-time with the in-client health monitor feature.
How to access the in-client health monitoring?
To open the monitoring window, choose from one of the following options:
- Drag the media server from the Resource Panel onto the Viewing Grid.
- Open the media server's context menu by right-clicking on the applicable server and select Monitor, Monitor in New Tab or Monitor in New Window.
The following items can be displayed:
- Up-time (beginning of server start)
- CPU Load
- Memory Usage (RAM)
- Hard disk partitions usage (C: and D: in this case)
- Network Interfaces Usage
Show or Hide information
You can check or uncheck the corresponding boxes to show or hide the data. When hovering over a check box with your mouse, the corresponding graph will be highlighted:
Options
Users can perform standard manipulations with the Monitoring Item in the grid: move, re-size, swap, duplicate as any other item on the gird. To stop monitoring, remove the corresponding item from the scene by selecting it and press Del or click on the X in the top right corner.
Multiple Mediaservers can be monitored simultaneously in a single layout or multiple layouts.
