IP Camera Auto Discovery
Nx Witness automatically discovers supported devices if they are located on the same subnet (LAN). Auto-discovered devices will show up in the Resource Panel after Nx Witness is started. The Auto Discovery feature for Nx Witness works with ONVIF Profile S devices and/or natively integrated devices.
In order for IP Camera Auto-Discovery to work the following conditions must be met:
- Auto Discovery must be enabled (checkbox in the System Administration dialog -> General tab)
- The IP camera must have a factory default username and password.
- The IP camera must have an IP address on the same subnet as the Server being used to discover it.

- The Port field is only necessary if you are using a non-standard port on your IP cameras.
- Once all information is input press the Search button to find your IP camera.
