If your Nx1 is Offline
Potential Reason: Power Failure
Symptom: Network LED on rear NIC connection not blinking.
- Check the unit is powered on and LEDs are on as well. If not, try to power cycle the unit by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Make sure your plug is firmly connected.
- If power cycling the unit does not work try another power supply (if available) to confirm that the current power supply does not have a problem.
- If neither fix above works, open a support ticket with us.
Potential Reason: Network Issue
Symptom: Network LED on rear NIC connection not blinking.
- Check if the network LED is blinking on the device.
- If not, check the physical connection between the switch and the unit.
If network LED is blinking, and power is on, make sure the unit is booted up properly (2 LEDS: PWR and HDD should be on) and then:
- Run the Nx Server Tool.
- If the Nx Server Tool discovers the device, try resetting the IP address.
- If this doesn’t help, try to power cycle the device and, if it still doesn’t show up, run NX Server Tool again.
- If only PWR is on, try to power cycle the device. All 3 LEDs should blink once. If not there is likely a hardware issue and you'll need to send the unit back for repair.
- If LEDs blink, wait for several minutes. Check to see if SYS or HDD LED's are lit. If the SYS LED is on but HDD is not there is likely a hard drive hardware problem and the hard drive likely needs to be replaced.
- If PWR and SYS are both on after power cycling the unit is booted into Safe Mode. To fix the issue try replacing your hard drive.
If your Nx1 time synchronization is wrong
Potential Reason: Motherboard Battery Not Fully Charge.
Symptom: Time is not synchronized on Nx1.
- Plug your Nx1 into a power outlet and charge it for 2 hours.
- That's it. You're done!
