View Web Pages in Nx Witness VMS
The Nx Desktop client has a built-in browser that allows operators to add and view web pages as items in the viewing grid.
The inclusion of a web browser in the Nx Desktop client makes it possible for operators to combine information from the Internet and local web services (e.g. intranet), or to create / use custom HTML widgets for "soft" integrations of integrated technologies.
How to Add a Web Page
- In the Resource Panel right click on Web Pages and select New Web page.
- In the Name field enter a name for the Web Page (this can be modified later).
- In the URL field enter the address of the web page.
- Press OK to save.
- When complete the Web Page will appear in the Resource panel and can be added to Layouts.

Dear Ichiro,
I can see in web page you can link YouTube too.. Is it ?
People use this function usually for setting some other systems, and the settings pages of other systems usually have javascript on them, especially the login page. So please help let it support javascript soon.
Gentlemen,
Our apologies for the delays in our response. We are working on improving our internal processes to reply much faster on questions below our support articles.

You can add a YouTube link too, but most likely you are required to download an additional codec pack like we used to do in the early zeros. From v4.1 we will add an entirly new Nx Desktop client browser based on Chromium which makes it possible to use YouTube and other sources instantly without the need to download additional packages in most cases.

As I mentioned to Patricio, we will replace our browser in v4.1 for a Chromium derivate and you should be able to login to most web applications. Basically, when it runs in Chromium, it will run in our Desktop client as well. You can experiment with it already since we recently released the Beta version of 4.1. You can download this from my.networkoptix.com/#/download and select the Beta tab and download the desired version for your operating system.
